Strategic Planning Workshop

Program Overview

A major strategy to recover from the effects of the pandemic is for organizations to come up with doable strategic plans.

Strategic planning is generally defined as an organizational management activity that is used to set priorities, focus energy and resources, strengthen operations, ensure that employees and other stakeholders are working toward common goals, establish agreement around intended outcomes/results, and assess and adjust the organization’s direction in response to a changing environment.

For organizations to cope with the disruptive VUCAD business environment they must have a comprehensive strategic plan that will define their strategic directions and decisions on allocating their resources. Organizations must have control mechanisms to guide the implementation of their strategies.

Consequently, an unclear, much more, absence of a strategic plan may lead to business failure. If organizations fail to anticipate or prepare for fundamental changes, they may lose valuable lead time and momentum to address them effectively. As a result, the lack of a strategic plan negatively impacts the attitude of an organization’s team. This shall result in morale problems due to the fact that the future is uncertain, unpredictable and/or out of control.
